Oil, gold remain lower after home price data

Crude oil and gold futures remained under pressure on Tuesday, after a report showed a drop in U.S. home prices in November. Crude oil for March delivery was recently down $1.16, or 1.5%, at $74.09 a barrel. Gold for February delivery was down $8.50, or 0.8%, at $1,087.20 an ounce. The S&P Case-Shiller index of home prices fell 0.2% in November compared with October on a not seasonally adjusted basis. Prices are down 5.3% in the past year and rose 0.2% on a seasonally adjusted basis in November.
