The burning body of former Playboy model Paula Sladewski was found in a trash bin in Miami last Sunday. The body was identified through dental records by Miami police yesterday.
According to officers, firefighters found the body after they were called in to put out a fire inside of a large trash container. After the flames were extinguished, they discovered Sladewski’s scorched remains. According to plice Lt. Neal Cuevas,
It was just total, total, disfigurement. You couldn’t even tell that it was a woman or a man or even what race.
Police have named Sladewski’s boyfriend a person of interest because he was vacationing with her at the time of her death, but he has not been named a suspect. He reportedly called hospitals and jails, and even hired a private investigator to track her down when she went missing.
The couple arrived in Miami from Michigan last Thursday to celebrate the New Year. The boyfriend lost track of Sladewski after they got into an argument on Sunday and he left her at a club alone. He then filed a missing person report on Monday when she didn’t return to their hotel room. Police are still searching for a suspect.
